(Forgive me for writing this in English, but my Japanese isn't very good...)
This volume is my favorite so far in the Complete Edition of Dragon Ball. Not only does Goku have to contend with the hilariously effeminate (yet very resilient) General Blue, but he also gets to spend time in Penguin Village with the cast of Dr. Slump, fights the first truly despicable villain of the series (the assassin T'ao Pai-pai), and meets the cat-hermit Master Karin! This is my favorite part of the series up until Demon King Piccolo is introduced.
I really like finally getting the chance to see the color pages (since I never owned Daizenshuu 2, and was too young to read even English when these chapters first appeared in Shonen Jump), and this volume provides a special treat: the first Dr. Slump crossover chapter is drawn completely in full-color! I like the cover art on the front, but Toriyama-sensei's illustration of Commander Red on the back cover looks a bit...odd, for some reason.
All-in-all, I'd say this is a great buy if you're a Dragon Ball fan (Japanese or otherwise, since Toriyama's art is so good, you can just look at the pretty pictures if you need to), especially if you've never never had the chance to read the series before. The price is a little steep, especially if you live outside of Japan, but in my opinion, it's worth every...uh...Yen.
And, again...I'm sorry about not writing this in Japanese, but I'm just not good enough at it yet. You'd laugh at my horrid grammar. Seriously.
